
Sint Nicolaas En Zijn Knecht (English: Saint Nicholas And His Servant) is a Dutch fairytale written by Jan Schenkman in 1850. It is based on the popular tradition of Saint Nicholas and Black Pete.
Schenkman's additions became part of the tradition as inhabitants of the Netherlands and other countries celebrate it.
